ADRIAN Hoteles and its commitment to youth employment.
ADRIAN Hoteles within its commitment to people, social integration and in line with SDG 8 “Decent work and economic growth” and 10 “Reducing inequalities” participates in integration programmes aimed at people at risk of social exclusion, in this case with unemployed young people, who after completing their internships at ADRIAN Hoteles have been hired in positions related to their training, coming from training cycles of different branches, administration and finance, management in catering services, basic bar operations, basic kitchen operations, catering services, among others.
Since 2022, the chain has signed collaboration agreements for internships with different training centres on the island of Tenerife, such as IES Adeje and the Don Bosco Foundation. In addition to some outside the island, such as the School of Hotel Management of Seville and ECOTUR, and others at an international level, such as the European University of the Canary Islands.
On all these occasions, there have been 6 students who, after finishing their internships, have been incorporated into the staff.
The last occasion was the visit to our hotel Jardines de Nivaria of students from the Don Bosco Social Foundation, who are training as waiter’s assistants and beginners in basic cooking.
They were accompanied by our Maître Raúl De Lamo, who showed them the main characteristics of the job, as well as the activities to be carried out, in addition to helping them to start interacting with this type of work context.
For us it is a fundamental task to support talent and the new generations so that they can complete their training, bring them closer to the Hotel sector, make them feel what it is to have a vocation for service and related professions, and undoubtedly the enriching personal experience that the relationship with our customers entails.
