ADRIAN Hoteles and Effiwaste join forces for a more sustainable future.

In our effort to lead the change towards a more sustainable tourism, ADRIAN Hoteles has joined forces in a pioneering project that will make a difference, starting with our hotel Jardines de Nivaria. This project combines innovative technology, environmental commitment and strategic collaboration, paving the way for a greener future in the hotel industry.
Food waste is a global problem that affects the HORECA industry to a great extent. Aware of this reality, our chain has partnered with Effiwaste, a Canarian startup dedicated to combating food waste and organic waste through technological solutions and sustainable practices.
The project consists of implementing innovative software that allows us to measure and analyse food waste in real time. Thanks to this tool, we will be able to manage our operations more efficiently, adapting menus and reducing waste significantly. The implementation not only has a positive impact on the environment, but also on the economic aspect since, by reducing food waste, it will allow us to save costs and improve our profitability, while fulfilling our commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

Prior to this implementation, the kitchen staff in charge of measuring has been trained and made aware of the implications of food waste, organic waste management and sustainable tourism.

Jardines de Nivaria is just the beginning. With the success of this pilot project, we will be ready to expand this collaboration to the other two hotels Roca Nivaria GH and Colón Guanahaní in the near future.
